Location
From 15 April 2024, Paul will be offering consultations at the Remparts osteopathy clinic. He invites you to visit him at Rue des Remparts 13, on the 4th floor. He works there as an independent osteopath under his own responsibility. At present, he still has a 60% teaching and research activity at the Permanence du Lac.
Directions
The entrance is on the right-hand side of the C&A building at Rue des Remparts 13, 2 minutes from the station and 30 seconds from the Place d'Arme car park. Once you have passed through the glass door, you can either walk up to the 4th floor or take the lift at the end of the corridor. You will still have to walk 10 steps to enter the cabinet. Take a seat in the waiting room and I'll come and get you.
Practice
Paul is an independent osteopath and a member of the Swiss Osteopathic Federation (FSO-SVO). He offers osteopathic care focused on your biopsychosocial needs. He works with you in partnership, placing great importance on your values, priorities and objectives. He will therefore take the time needed to understand you as fully as possible and work with you to find solutions to your complaints. He or she is interested above all in how you experience your disorder, the meaning you give to it and the context in which it arose. Using movement and touch, he then seeks to help you understand yourself better, so that you can manage and overcome your symptoms. Thanks to his experience and knowledge, he knows that the real expert on your body is you!
Insurance cover
Paul has SuisseOstéo (FSO-SVO) and RME accreditation, which means that he is usually covered by all supplementary insurance schemes that include osteopathy. He is also on the list of practitioners covered by Visana.
To find out how you will be covered, please contact your insurance company. Your insurance company will reimburse you on presentation of your bill.
Tariff
In accordance with tariff 590 set by the supplementary insurance companies, billing is done in 5-minute increments. The rate applied is CHF 13 per unit, i.e. usually CHF 130 per 50-minute session. Consultations are paid for at the end of each session.

Paul Vaucher's professional background
Paul qualified as an osteopath in 2002 and obtained his CDS state equivalence in 2009. He initially worked in a group practice in Areuse for 8 years, while at the same time becoming involved in research and ethics. In 2006 he obtained a certificate in health law from the University of Neuchâtel, followed in 2008 by a master's degree in clinical research from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Disease. At the same time working for Unisanté in community medicine research, Paul became interested in social epidemiology and psycho-social stressors, before committing himself full-time to research from 2010 to 2014 to obtain a doctorate in neuroscience from the Faculty of Science at the University of Geneva. From 2015 to 2021, Paul was Professor Ordinaire HES at the Haute Ecole de Santé de Fribourg, where he directed an osteopathic research laboratory and set up the teaching of informed practice in the new osteopathic training programme. He currently works in the clinic three days a week at the Ostéopathie des Remparts practice, and devotes the remaining three days to teaching and research.
Academic career
Paul is the author of over 60 original scientific articles and has become an international academic reference in osteopathy. He is associate editor of Int J Osteopath Med, associate editor of Mains Libres, scientific advisor to the Swiss Osteopathic Science Foundation, a member of the FSO's Council of Ethics and a member of COME's central committee. He is accredited in pedagogy by the University of Geneva and the HES-SO.

Data protection
When you consult Paul Vaucher, he is responsible for protecting your data. Your confidentiality is very important to him. Your data is stored securely on a hard drive in the practice, with a copy made remotely every day. Only the practice's practitioners have access to it, with your consent. Your administrative data from OneDoc is made accessible to the secretariat (making appointments with access to the diary, your address and telephone number). The IT specialist may have temporary access to the data for system updates. This is done while ensuring the security of the data, without him accessing it directly, and the data is destroyed on his side after use. All your information transmitted by e-mail is secured with a personalised decryption key sent to you by SMS. On request to info(at)osteopole.ch you can of course have access to a copy of your file.
