Dr. Stephan Schlunke 

With more than 20 years of clinical experience, he has established himself as a reliable and patient-oriented physician specializing in general, vascular, and trauma surgery. He has spent his career in highly dynamic settings, where he has refined the ability to handle critical situations and emergency surgeries smoothly and efficiently. Currently, he runs his own private surgery and angiology practice affiliated with two clinics in Canton Ticino, Switzerland, offering scheduled and emergency surgeries, as well as daily vascular and ultrasound diagnostics.

Throughout his career, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, supervising multidisciplinary teams and contributing to the achievement of prestigious international awards, such as Joint Commission accreditation and the EFQM 5-Star Award. He has performed thousands of surgical procedures, also excelling in teaching in the operating theater. His focus on quality control and participation in strategic committees significantly improved the standards of the departments in which he worked, leaving a lasting impact on healthcare management.

Guided by a vision aimed at sharing expertise, he devotes a major part of his activity to training young surgeons and paramedical staff (he is a teacher at the Sociosanitario Professional Center in Lugano). Through his work, he transmits not only advanced technical skills but also fundamental values such as ethics and humanity, which he considers indispensable to excel in medical practice.
