Dr. Paolo Fontanella 

Dr Paolo Fontanella is a specialist in urology, a medical discipline dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies of the urinary tract in men and women, as well as disorders of the male genital tract. He treats a wide range of conditions, including kidney stones, prostate problems, urinary incontinence, genitourinary tumours and male fertility disorders.

Dr Fontanella continued his specialisation in Switzerland and Austria, notably at the Inselspital in Berne and the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG). In 2021, he obtained his FMH qualification as a specialist in urology. He also holds the European Certificate in Urology (FEBU).

Since his arrival at the EHC in March 2023, Dr Fontanella has enhanced the range of care on offer by introducing innovative techniques such as thermo-vaporisation of the prostate (Rezum) and laser enucleation of the prostate. In October 2024, he was appointed Deputy Physician, strengthening his role within the institution and contributing to excellence in urological care.
