Dr. Mauro Molina 

My professional career began in two major University Hospitals, first in Varese until 2009 and then in Novara until 2014.

I have been involved in traumatology and prosthetic surgery of the hip and knee since the early years of my career. This allowed me to gain confidence and experience in primary prosthetic surgery, eventually moving on to revision surgery.

In 2014, I began my work at EOC. Initially, I served as the head clinician of Orthopedics and Traumatology at the Civic Hospital and the Italian Hospital in Lugano, where I worked alongside Dr. Gaffurini on hip and knee prosthetics.

In 2017, I was called by Dr. Arigoni, the head of Surgery and Traumatology at the Regional Hospital of Locarno, to organize a new Orthopedics department within the hospital, appointed as the head of the service. I enthusiastically accepted this professional challenge, creating a capable department to manage orthopedic issues for all body regions of the Locarno population. In 2020, I was appointed cantonal head of hip surgery at EOC, and in 2021, Deputy Chief of the Orthopedics and Traumatology Service at the Regional Hospital of Locarno.

In 2022, the Orthopedics and Traumatology service, established in 2017, achieved recognition as an FMH Training Center for Orthopedics and Traumatology of the Locomotor System.

Since March 1, 2023, I have started a collaboration for hip and knee prosthetic surgery with the ARS Medica clinic in Gravesano.
