The general or visceral surgeon deals with a large part of the diseases of the digestive organs requiring an intervention: gallbladder (stone), stomach disease (reflux or hiatal hernia), lesion of the large and small intestine, appendix.

Parietal surgery allows the correction of hernias: inguinal, umbilical, after an intervention (eventration), ventral, ..

Dr. Herren performs minimally invasive surgery (small holes or laparoscopy) or robotic (Da Vinci).

Most interventions can be covered by basic insurance or LAMal.

An intervention is only a small part of surgery. Information, your participation, your entourage and caregivers are necessary for adequate care.

Before any intervention, it must be discussed with you during a consultation, with your loved ones if you wish, on the basis of the file sent by your "family doctor".
