Dr. Cristiano Gironi 

Dr. med. Cristiano Gironi completed his medical studies in Italy, where he acquired a solid foundation in medical sciences and research.

Wishing to specialize in psychiatry and psychotherapy, he moved to Switzerland to pursue in-depth training at the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG). During this period, he acquired considerable experience in various fields of psychiatry, including emergency psychiatry, hospital and outpatient psychiatry for adults and the elderly.

After a first year in the hospital environment for the elderly, he continued his career in the Psychiatric Emergency Department and then in the psychiatric hospital admissions department for adults. He then continued in the outpatient psychiatry and psychotherapy department for adults (CAPPI), collaborating on the Continuity, Crisis and Day Hospital Programs. As a Clinic Head, he worked in the outpatient psychiatry and psychotherapy of the elderly (CAPPA), as head of 3 different programs, the Crisis Center, the Day Hospital and the Program for Cognitive Disorders. He concluded his career at HUG as Clinic Head in the specialized unit for Cognitive Disorders of the elderly.

In parallel with his clinical and research activities, Dr. Gironi followed additional training in psychotherapy, including in-depth study of Jungian therapy and mindfulness.
