Physical therapy is the evaluation and treatment of abnormal physical function related to injury, illness and/or disability through movement, exercise, manual therapy and education. A physical therapist accompanies patients through all phases of recovery, from the initial diagnosis to the restorative and preventive stages of healing.

Treatment may involve therapeutic exercises to improve strength, range of motion, endurance and pain relief. The practice is also known for improving posture, muscle imbalance, joint mobilization and stiffness.

Most importantly, physiotherapy provides physical independence so that people can enjoy and/or return to the activities of daily life that they enjoy the most.
