Dr. Eric Ngassom-Leumessi

Dr. Eric Ngassom Leumessi is a specialist in orthopaedic surgery and musculoskeletal trauma. He has been the Head of the Orthopaedics and Traumatology Department at EHC since February 2019.

Orthopaedics and traumatology focus on the medical and surgical management of the musculoskeletal system (bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles). This specialty includes the treatment of injuries (fractures, sprains), degenerative conditions (such as osteoarthritis), and chronic or structural disorders requiring conservative or surgical care.

Dr. Ngassom Leumessi has extensive experience in general orthopaedic surgery, with a particular focus on hip and knee prosthetic surgery and trauma care. In recent years, he has developed specialized expertise in foot and ankle surgery, including percutaneous and minimally invasive techniques, following fellowships in leading Spanish centers.

His training and clinical experience were gained at institutions such as the CHUV, Riviera-Chablais Hospital, and the hospitals of Northern Vaud (Yverdon site).
