Dr. Frédéric Villard

Dr. Frédéric Villard is a Swiss ophthalmologist and eye surgeon specializing in glaucoma and medical retina. He completed his clinical training at the University Hospitals of Geneva, followed by further training in ophthalmic surgery at the Cantonal Hospital of Fribourg, where he also held the position of Clinic Head. Alongside his hospital work, he practiced independently in Bulle and Nyon. He then sub-specialized in medical retina during a first fellowship at Ipswich Hospital in Suffolk, England, and in glaucoma during a second fellowship at the prestigious King’s College Hospital in London. He also holds an inter-university diploma in cornea after a year of training at the renowned Sorbonne University in Paris.

He holds federal diplomas as a specialist in ophthalmology and as an ophthalmic surgeon.

Dr. Villard will welcome patients at his ophthalmology center, Frivision, located at 2 Route Jo Siffert starting November 4, 2024. He accepts new patients for both general and specialized consultations for all ages.
