Dr. Cecilia Figueroa 

Dr. Cecilia Figueroa Muruaga is an obstetrician-gynecologist who is always ready to listen, and who makes the most of contact with her patients for prevention, advice and, of course, control and treatment of pathologies with a highly professional, educational and respectful approach. She consults patients from adolescence to menopause.

Spanish by birth, she completed her medical studies at the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 2001 and went on to specialize in Gynecology and Obstetrics in 2011.

After several years' experience as a senior gynecologist in public and private hospitals in Spain and France, Dr. Figueroa-Muruaga set up her own private practice in Switzerland in 2020. 

Alongside her career in patient care, Dr. Figueroa-Muruaga has also followed an academic path, obtaining the title of Doctor in Gynecology and Obstetrics after defending her doctoral thesis with “Cum laude” qualification. She is the author of several publications in scientific journals and continues to participate in numerous congresses in her discipline.

She has expertise in many areas of women's health, including contraception, hormone assessment, colposcopy and breast cancer screening. Her expertise in HPV screening and pap smears, as well as her skills in inserting contraceptive implants and IUDs, make her a trusted specialist in contraception management and reproductive health.

She also assists women during pregnancy, providing personalized, attentive care. In addition, she is an expert in the management of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and sexually transmitted infections (STIs), offering comprehensive, tailored care.
