Welcome to Eidmatt General Practice in Wädenswil
The Eidmatt General Practice provides high-quality, community-based primary care for young and old alike.
Travel and Tropical Medicine
We specialize in travel medicine consultations, travel vaccinations, and are your official yellow fever vaccination center on the left shore of Lake Zurich. Whether it’s a world trip, a professional or humanitarian mission, a safari, a beach holiday with small children, travel planning during pregnancy, or questions about vaccinations for chronic illnesses, we provide comprehensive and personalized advice. We can also administer the necessary vaccinations and malaria medications immediately.
Please bring your vaccination record, a list of pre-existing conditions and medications, your allergy pass, and a detailed travel itinerary to your appointment. For children, their body weight is needed to calculate the appropriate dosage of medications.
If you experience health issues after traveling, we will treat you quickly and effectively. Common post-travel issues from tropical regions include skin rashes, traveler’s diarrhea, and fever. Animal bites and injuries from sea creatures are also common.
Remember, fever after returning from a malaria zone is a medical emergency, even months later, so contact us immediately. If you were bitten by a mammal abroad, contact us immediately upon return to discuss rabies prophylaxis.
