The Center

Orthoptics is a specialized field of ophthalmology. This area primarily focuses on the detection and treatment of:

• Strabismus (congenital or acquired)
• Amblyopia (lazy eye)
• Eye muscle dysfunctions (double vision)
• Problems in eye coordination (visual disturbances when reading, writing, or working at a screen, including eye burning, tearing, and light sensitivity).

A modern infrastructure and a specially trained orthoptist are available in our vision school to correct these issues.

Science and technology continually bring new insights into better vision. This knowledge leads to new analysis and correction systems. For us, as a qualified specialist shop, these new devices are of utmost importance. At Fatzer Optik AG, various systems are used, such as:

• Autorefractor
• Oculus Easygraph Keratometer
• Lensmeter
• Slit lamp unit
• Applanation tonometry
• Dynamic Contour Tonometry (DCT)
