WELCOME TO THE BRUNNMATT PRACTICE

It has been over 30 years since the Center for Orthopedic Surgery, the Brunnmatt Clinic, or simply “d Brunnmatt” opened its doors. On May 10, 1990, "Patient 1" walked into the practice. Today, nearly 40,000 patients have visited our orthopedic clinic, something we are quite proud of.

The practice was founded by Drs. Kaelin and Lotz. Today, the key to success remains a team of two doctors dedicated to your musculoskeletal system and quality of life:

Dr. med. Matthias Klein and Dr. med. Gerrit Behrens.

Since January 1, 2021, Dr. med. Jon Duri Tgetgel has retired. He will continue to assist us during surgeries.

What was right in 1990 is even more true today: Orthopedics and sports medicine need physiotherapy. Under the same roof, a competent team of physiotherapists works closely with us. You will find Brunnmatt Physiotherapy at Arisdörferstrasse 4 in Liestal.

Our services are complemented by collaboration with the Ortho-Team (orthopedic aids and insoles) and Merian Santé's nutritional counseling.

We have extensive experience in both surgical and conservative therapy.

Our services cover the orthopedic treatment of all major joints, tendon, and ligament injuries, as well as sports medicine and fractures, both non-operative (conservative) and surgical. We treat our patients using the latest findings and proven methods. In addition to conventional methods, we offer shockwave therapy, ACP (autologous blood therapy), and hyaluronic acid injections ("joint lubricant").

We also offer initial assessments of spine complaints, as well as advice and assistance in insurance medicine and work incapacity.
