Prof. Dr. med. Stefan Hegemann 

Dr. Stefan Hegemann was habilitated in 2009 at the University of Zurich (UZH) in the field of Otolaryngology and Neurotology, a specialty primarily focused on dizziness. He is the only habilitated neurotologist in Switzerland, Europe, and very likely worldwide, holding two specialist titles relevant to the main organic causes of dizziness: one in Otorhinolaryngology (ORL) and one in Neurology.

He has been clinically and scientifically dealing with the symptom of dizziness since the start of his medical career (1991).

Research achievements:

In Zurich, he conducted both basic research and interdisciplinary collaboration, improving the diagnosis of balance system disorders and significantly enhancing the clinical treatment of inner ear diseases (such as sudden hearing loss).
