Léonard Ganty, a specialized acupuncturist, offers treatments aimed at restoring the balance of both body and mind, to improve your health and well-being.

As a trained physiotherapist, I have had the opportunity to work in both private practice and with athletes, both amateur and professional (gymnasts, boxers, and the next generation of the Genève-Servette Hockey Club). This experience has provided me with a deep understanding of the human body and its pathologies. Eager to broaden my scope, I then pursued training in traditional Chinese medicine, obtaining my diploma from the Shanghai College of TCM in Europe.

My decision to specialize in traditional Chinese medicine came from a desire to offer my patients a complementary and more holistic approach. Acupuncture allows me to help patients with issues for which physiotherapy alone is limited, such as sleep disorders or pregnancy support.

I place particular importance on listening to the needs and expectations of those I work with, and I am available by phone or email to answer any questions you may have about acupuncture.

What is Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine?

Acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine are ancient practices that originated in China and later spread widely to Japan, Korea, and throughout Asia. They are based on fundamental principles such as the Five Elements and Yin and Yang, derived from the observation of nature.

The main goal of this medicine is to restore the balance of energies circulating through the body via the meridians. It is a holistic approach that considers not only the body but also the mind, energy, and diet, to promote sustainable health.

In addition to acupuncture (using disposable needles), traditional Chinese medicine offers a variety of therapeutic techniques, including cupping, moxibustion, acupressure, and Tui Na massage. These practices are tailored to your specific needs and any concerns you may have about the use of needles.

Insurance Coverage

Acupuncture is only covered by "complémentaire" health insurance. Patients must pay for the sessions themselves and then submit the receipt (provided at the end of the session) to their insurance company for reimbursement. Please check with your insurer for details. It is not possible to receive acupuncture with a physiotherapy prescription.
