Dr. Kai Sprengel - Luzern St. Anna 

About Me

My name is Kai Sprengel. I obtained my doctorate at the University of Basel and completed my habilitation at the University of Zurich. Since 1990, I have been active in the field of emergency medicine, initially as a paramedic in my hometown north of Bremen. After my medical studies in Hanover, I developed an interest in trauma surgery, now known as traumatology, from the very beginning. As a double board-certified specialist in surgery and orthopedics residing in Switzerland since 1999, I can draw on a broad and solid training background.

In the last decade of my employed career, I focused on spinal medicine as well as pelvic and hip surgery in a leadership role at a university hospital specializing in maximum care, while never losing contact with general traumatology in theory and practice. I have also developed a particular interest in the treatment of tumors of the musculoskeletal system, primarily metastases. Through my engagement in various training formats and professional societies, I have built a large national and international network over the years for the benefit of my patients. Since 2021, I have been working in my own practice.
