Reimbursement Information:

• 3 breastfeeding consultations are covered by your basic health insurance (LaMal).
• You can request a referral from your gynecologist for additional consultations if needed.
• CHF 150 for birth or breastfeeding preparation is also reimbursed by your basic health insurance (LaMal).

Why consult a lactation specialist before or after birth?

Before?

• You want to understand how breastfeeding works and prepare for it.
• You have previously attempted to breastfeed but it did not work.
• You are expecting twins.
• You have had breast surgery and have questions or concerns about it.
• You have a health condition and wonder if breastfeeding is possible.

After?

• You have breast pain (cracked nipples, engorgement, fungal infection, mastitis).
• Your baby is not gaining enough weight, and you wish to continue breastfeeding.
• You and your baby are struggling with latching, causing stress for both of you.
• You wonder if your baby is drinking enough milk or have heard that your milk is not nutritious enough.
• Your baby is hospitalized, and you would like to start or continue breastfeeding.
• You are returning to work and want to continue breastfeeding, or your baby refuses the bottle.
• You have questions about introducing solid foods.

In 2021, I obtained a University Diploma (DU) in Human Lactation from the Faculty of Medicine in Lille (France).

Since 2023, I have dedicated myself exclusively to breastfeeding support.
